Rabbits Don’t Lay Eggs
Rabbits Don’t lay Eggs was something I heard in a dream. It seems obvious, but it is not the story we tell now. Rabbits Don’t Lay Eggs was my dance-story following the White Rabbit through time and into the land of the dead to arrive on the Vernal Equinox – the first day of spring. It gave me a chance to revisit the myths. The first ‘Easter eggs’ appeared with Inanna the Sumerian Goddess of Love, who like Persephone descends to the underworld to find her sister captured by the God of the Dead.
An Easter Egg Hunt for the kids was after the performance. Jean Brennan made an accordion book for the audience
